A one-off tooled leather half cover tele pickguard. Entirely handmade from a 2mm thick piece of Premium grade, full-grain vegetable tanned leather.
All cut by hand, and carved for a number of hours with a knife blade and small embossing tools. Hand painted dyed red background. Antique finish.
Edges have been bevelled and burnished before being hand painted with a durable clear leather paint. Leather has been treated and sealed with a durable water and dirt resistant top coat.
Supplied with durable 3M adhesive already applied. The adhesive may not be needed, but is there as insurance. I recommend trying it without, and if the does move over time (this will depend on your climate), you can peel and stick it down
This leather is top grain vegetable tanned, so is very light in colour at the moment, but will go a beautiful golden brown with age (type in ‘veg tan leather patina’ to google images). The more you expose it to sun and oils, the more it changes over time.
